Ways We Serve Our Lord

Our Food Pantry

On the last two Thursdays of each month (10:00 AM - Noon), our neighbors are invited to get food that can help fill their own pantry shelves. We want to honor our friends by being hospitable to their needs. Working with the NH Food Bank and various local farms, we are also able to share specialty items from time to time. We are happy to give and hope others are blessed by the Food Pantry resources.

Gander Brook Christian Camp

Many churches of Christ have worked together to support Gander Brook Christian Camp located in Raymond, ME. Gander Brook hosts overnight summer camp for children that is full of fun and meaningful activities that build faith in Jesus. Also at Gander Brook a women’s retreat and a men’s retreat are held in September. Individual churches also hold retreats.

Community Impact Weekend

We join with area Nashua churches to simply bless our city. We seek the Shalom (peace) of the city that we each serve and love. The first weekend of August is a time for people to share food, serve kids, beautify parks, and do whatever is needed to make our world a better place.

Samara, Russia Church of Christ

The Nashua church has helped support the mission work in this small church that meets in Samara, Russia. Fortunately Cathe Madden from the Nashua church has been traveling to Samara each year for the past several years and has been a tremendous support for the work there.

The church in Samara is small but it has a significant impact and a big heart for people. They have hosted for several years a summer camp, supported by Christians from all over Russia including one family in Moscow. This small but significant church, mostly middle age to older women has had an impact in their community. This is a group of people who need a lot of encouragement due to isolation from others and even each other, as many have to work long hours, including Sundays, in order to survive financially.

Dominican Republic - Manna Global Missions

The Nashua church teamed up with several other churches to be a part of the Dominican Republic- Manna Global Missions (Summers 2013 and 2016) to serve children and families in need of food, housing, medical attention and education. Several adults and many of our teens were a part of this significant mission. The young people were diligent in raising funds and worked hard for people in the Dominican Republic. We are proud of their work and the love our teens have for one another and for the world.

Central America - Mission Lazurus

From 2010 to 2015 the Nashua Church of Christ participated in several mission trips to Mission Lazurus  in Honduras, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic.  The Nashua church sent about 20 members to work along side the local Christians to lay foundations, dig septic systems, build houses.
